Thank You
Thanks to everyone who watched us with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart last night, we had a lovely time.
Fanzine beat us 3-1 at Football, we didn’t have the shoes for it.

—The Pains of Being Pure At Heart - Belong
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart hit Sheffield on Monday week, our new favourite venue Queens Social Club playing host.
Here’s what Pitchfork had to say about the new Pains album, awarding it a healthy 8.2 in the process:
Having dabbled in brighter production and a Saint Etienne remix on theirHigher Than the Stars EP, it was evident that the Pains were trying to figure an exit strategy from a narrow, reverent sound they utterly nailed the first time around. And considering the game plans of recent New York bands that faced the same struggle— either buy time by repeating themselves (like the Strokes or Interpol) or screw the pooch with a charmless, big-budget disaster (like the Strokes or Interpol)— it’s no small achievement that Belong transcends its time-coded sound as expertly as their self-titled did.
Tickets for this one are still available via Gigantic, SeeTickets andWe GotTickets; or in person at The Harley, Arcade, The Old Sweet Shop and The Wick At Both Ends, all sans booking fee.
Remember, also, that Harley members get £1 off via the link above, or at any of the physical outlets. Sign up on the night for similar future incentives.
